OnePlus 13 is an expected upgrade over the previous 1+ model. For starters, the design has been improved to offer IP68 and IP69 rating for water, dust, and drop resistance. The rear camera island loses the metal plate around the circle, while on the front, the display loses the strongly pronounced 3D curve. Still, it seems the screen is largely the same - a 6.82-inch AMOLED unit by BOE, with a ceramic glass cover, a resolution of 1440 x 3168 px, and an LTPO 3.0 backplane for dynamic refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120Hz. The global maximum brightness is 1800 nits, while the peak HDR one hits 4500 nits. The screen has an HDR Vivid, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ certification. It is also certified for being eye-safe with a hardware solution, including 2592 Hz PWM dimming.
The battery capacity of the OnePlus 13 has been increased to 6000 mAh, retaining the support for 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The chipset has been upgraded to the mighty Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform paired with generous LPDDR5X Ultra RAM - 12GB, 16GB, or 24GB. The built-in UFS 4.0 storage can measure 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The camera department has the same 50MP Sony LYT-808 main shooter with Hasselblad technologies, OIS, and a 7-element lens with an f/1.6 aperture. It is now capable of recording 8K videos at 30 fps, not only at 24 fps. There's also a 50MP Samsung S5KJN5 ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree FoV and a 6-element lens with an f/2.0 aperture. The third rear shooter is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 telephoto unit with a 1G+3P lens with an f/2.6 aperture, OIS, PDAF, and 3x optical zoom. The selfie camera remains the same - a 32MP sensor with a 5-element lens, an f/2.45 aperture, and a 90-degree FoV.
The OnePlus 13 runs on ColorOS 15 (Android 15) in China and should run Oxygen OS 15 when it goes global. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and NFC. The device is fitted with dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. The starting price of the model in China is CNY 4499.
