Huawei Mate 70 series is unveiled with Kirin 9010 and Kirin 9020 chipsets

Huawei has unveiled four new smartphones from the all-new Mate 70 series. Each successive model from the series builds upon its predecessor, while the three top models of the quartet retain one and the same displays and cameras. All models run on HarmonyOS 4.3, upgradable to the new HarmonyOS Next 5.0. The wireless connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and satellite messaging support. The top models also support satellite communication. Each has a USB Type-C 3.1 port and the top three models sport stereo speakers. All have IP68 and IP69 ratings for resistance to water and dust.

Huawei Mate 70 specifications and pricing

Huawei Mate 70 is the smallest of the four. It is built around a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 2.5D curve, a resolution of 1216 x 2688, and an LTPO backplane for a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen is protected by the Kunlun Glass 2 and delivers a peak brightness of 2500 cd/m². There's an in-display fingerprint reader and a punch hole for the 13MP selfie camera. The model is powered by a 5300 mAh battery with 66W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging support. Processing power is based on the Kirin 9010 chipset with a 12-core CPU clocked up to 2.3GHz and a quad-core Maleoon 910 GPU. It is aided by an ARK Engine for gaming and a 6644 mm² VC liquid cooling system. There are 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM on board and 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage. The rear camera department comprises a main shooter with a 50MP sensor and a variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0. It supports PDAF, OIS, and Huawei's XMAGE technology. There's a 12MP periscope telephoto lens with an f/3.2 aperture, a 40MP ultra-wide unit, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral sensor for enhanced color accuracy. The Huawei Mate 70 is priced as follows:

Huawei Mate 70 Pro arrives with a bigger and 3D curved OLED display - 6.9-inches, and increased resolution to match the diagonal size - 1316 x 2832 px. The rest of the screen's properties remain unchanged. The camera department remains largely the same but there's a 48MP telescope unit instead of a 12MP one and on the front, there's a 3D depth sensor in addition to the familiar 13MP selfie snapper. The chipset is upgraded to the new Kirin 9020 one with a 12-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, a Maleoon 920 GPU clocked at 840MHz, and an increased VC liquid cooling system - 6870 mm². The Ark Engine for gaming is retained. The RAM and storage options remain the same as the ones of the vanilla version. The battery capacity is increased to 5500 mAh and so is the charging speed - 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W reverse wireless charging. Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ specifications and pricing

Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ shares a lot in common with the regular Pro version, including the display, cameras, and chipset, so here we will only focus on the differences. The battery's capacity is slightly increased to 5700 mAh retaining the 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W reverse wireless charging support. The RAM is increased to 16GB and the storage options are limited to the two top ones - 512GB and 1TB. It is the design of the Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ that's mostly responsible for the "plus" in the name. The most noteworthy difference is the usage of a polished and curved titanium middle frame that provides additional sturdiness and aesthetics. The colors are changed to Gold and Silver Brocade, Flying Sky Blue, Feather White, and Ink Rhyme Black. The Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ is priced as follows:

Huawei Mate 70 RS specifications and pricing

The Huawei Mate 70 RS has the same specifications as the Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ but a different design. It is available in red, black, and white colors and boasts the same curved and glossy titanium middle frame but the rear shell features the signature RS star diamond design with an octagonal camera island. The RS version also has a dual-layer OLED display with a peak brightness of 3500 nits. The RS model is priced as follows:
